Kita P. is a singer/songwriter/ event curator based in Harrisburg, PA. From 2005 through 2021 she lived and performed in NYC. Kita P has a style of Soul, R&B and some jazz. Her sound is often described as melodic and soulful with some of her greatest influences being Anita Baker, Luther Vandross, Me’shell Ndegeocello and more. Folks have often said they can listen to Kita P with their eyes closed and be taken away; thus coining Kita P. Music as a #BlindVibe. She uses her art to create experiences that feed the person and the soul. She is headlining the 110th Kipona Harrisburg Festival 2026 (previous performance 2025) with her band Black Licorice. Kita P. began curating her own experiences in 2018; Nu Underground:Art.Food.Music.Dopeness.(NU) in NYC at Nu Blu in the Lower East Side. It is her solution to bridge that gap between artists and community, to engage all the senses as well as the spirit within a three hour experience. NU is a high-concept nomadic series that is serving as the anchor experience for HBG Glides, evolving into a flagship triennial event. More recently, she has become the Harrisburg (Central PA area) event producer for Sofar Sounds. This is a global event series network that brings live events to unique and local places.

Kita P has developed the Nu Underground experience as her solution to the gap between creators and communities. It is a three hour experience to bridge that gap within the community, to engage all the senses as well as the spirit. There is on-going music, drinks (2 drinks included with ticket price), raffle prizes, freshly prepared food by a featured Chef and artwork for auction/sale by visual artist(s). Currently a high-concept nomadic series, NU will serve as the anchor experience for HBG Glides, evolving into a flagship triennial event once our physical storefront is established.
