KITA P

Kita P is a Harrisburg, PA–based singer/songwriter and event curator whose soulful blend of R&B, jazz, and neo-soul has been described as melodic and transportive—earning her the nickname #BlindVibe. Inspired by legends like Anita Baker, Luther Vandross, and Me’shell Ndegeocello, she creates performances that nourish both spirit and soul. From 2005 to 2021, she lived and performed in NYC, gracing stages like Rockwood Music Hall, Bowery Electric, and Sofar Sounds. She’s also performed in Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, Dallas, Cape Town, and Gambia, either solo (with guitar) or with her band, Black Licorice. Highlights include headlining the 2023 Harrisburg Memorial Day Arts Fest and multiple music releases, including The Groove (2023), Escaped Prisms (2022), and kANDi (2022). Her latest collaboration, Do You with Chris Rozik, dropped in 2024, with a new single, Friends, releasing July 1st, 2025 on streaming platforms. Kita P filling in the Gaps

Nu Underground Experience: Art.Food.Music.Dopeness.

Kita P has developed the Nu Underground experience as her solution to the gap between creators and communities. It is a three hour experience to bridge that gap within the community, to engage all the senses as well as the spirit. There is on-going music, drinks (2 drinks included with ticket price), raffle prizes, freshly prepared food by a featured Chef and artwork for auction/sale by visual artist(s). Currently a high-concept nomadic series, NU will serve as the anchor experience for HBG Glides, evolving into a flagship triennial event once our physical storefront is established.

Upcoming NU’s in 2026

HBG GLIDES

Kita P’s vision is to foster a welcoming, inclusive space where people of all ages can come together to enjoy entertainment, express creativity, and build meaningful community connections. I want to create a vibrant atmosphere where everyone feels encouraged to participate, whether it’s through roller skating, enjoying a live music performance, or engaging with local art. We believe in the power of art, music, and recreation to transform lives, uplift spirits, and bring people closer. Click here for more information and to connect.
